Bio

Mariah Adams is an emerging fine art photographer. She is a champion as a person with multiple disabilities, as a trauma survivor, as a mother, and as a full-time student. She is currently pursuing an AA degree in Photography at The Academy of Art University in San Francisco. Among her disabilities are several mental health conditions that give her a unique perspective on the world around her. She uses her love of photography to express herself and show the rest of the world how she sees things. Growing up in an artistically focused family, Mariah learned from an early age how to see things in a compositional way and how to make her art portray her vision effectively.

In her first semester at The Academy of Art University, Mariah had two of her photographs chosen for the prestigious honor of being included in The Spring Show, where the school showcases the best talent from each department, and has 3 photos in the current Spring Show. Mariah has also had multiple-page spreads in several different magazines and has been part of a number of showcases. She currently resides in Sacramento, California with her son, partner, and brother, all of whom have supported and inspired her journey to become a successful fine art photographer.
